On Tuesday 9/14/2004 Jim Franklin died while skiing in Las Lenas, Argentina. Jim, also known as Jimmer, was a great skier, an adventurer, a kind person and a friend to all. Jim lived life one day at a time and got the most out of his 21 years on this earth. He appreciated his world and all in it to the fullest. Jim, and his ford escort "betsy", had traveled throughout the lower 48 of the US, to Mexico, Canada, the Alaskan wilderness, and South America. In these travels Jim experienced more than most will in a lifetime. He added much happiness and a lot of surprises to all our lives. Jim died doing what he loved to do. Jim, your family and friends will all miss you greatly, we all wish you fresh tracks and great adventures where ever your travels may take you. You are here with us in our hearts and in our thoughts.
We love you Jim.
